Our commitment to privacy

Cvon is built with a local-first architecture. We believe that your files, conversations, and data belong to you. This page explains what information is processed, where it is stored, and what stays on your device.

Local-first processing

All JSON parsing, CSV conversion, column selection, preview generation, inline editing, and CSV export happens entirely inside your web browser. Your files and pasted JSON content are never uploaded to our servers.

Data we do not collect

  • JSON files or pasted text content.
  • Converted CSV output.
  • AI chat messages or API keys.
  • Any personally identifiable information derived from your data.

What is stored locally

To improve your experience, Cvon stores the following items in your browser's localStorage only:

  • Your conversion, chat, and editor history.
  • Your OpenRouter API key, if you choose to save it.
  • Your preferred theme setting.

You can clear this data at any time using the Clear buttons in the app or by clearing your browser storage.

Analytics and advertising

We may use Google Analytics to understand aggregated usage of the site, such as page views and feature usage. Google Analytics collects anonymized data via cookies. You can control cookie behavior through your browser settings.

Google AdSense scripts may be loaded to display ads in compliance with Google publisher policies. We do not interact with or modify ads in ways that encourage invalid clicks.
